The importance of your right to privacy is of the highest paramount to us.
We understand that you are providing us with your personal information and it is our aim to aid the preservation of your anonymity until you choose to disclose further personal details.
We acknowledge you are the only person with the right to disclose any personally identifying information. For this reason we have created this privacy statement to demonstrate our firm commitment to the privacy of our members and users of the services we provide.

Abuse of our system or other members.
In the case of known or suspected abuse of our systems or members, we reserve the right to review and pass any relevant information stored on our systems to authorities i.e. New Zealand Police, to help prevent the abuse, we will also provide assistance to help identify a member for members who are proceeding with in our view legitimate legal action. We feel the protection of our members is one of our most important goals.
Collection and use of your information
There are five types of information we collect about you:
1. Private information that you provide us.
You are required to provide us a number of personal information/details, such as your name and email address, so we can provide a safe service and, if required, verify your identity when you contact us. Your private information will never be disclosed or sold to any other party and will never be disclosed on the www.lovehearts.co.nz website without your explicit permission.
2. Public information that you enter for your profile.
You are encouraged to provide a lot of information about yourself to help find people to meet. All information you provide for your profile should be considered public as any Internet user can conceivably find this information. Information collected is designed to minimize the ability for someone to identify you. It is your sole responsibility to control the extent of information you provide on your Lovehearts.co.nz profile to help us to ensure your privacy is protected.
We provide options to allow you to restrict visibility of your profile and visibility of any photos you upload.
3. Financial information you provide us.
We offer services that require you to provide us with financial information such as your credit card number. We take all reasonable steps to ensure your financial information is securely transmitted and protected.
4. Messages you send to other members.
Lovehearts Ltd provide facilities to allow you to send private messages to other members. These messages are private and only visible to the chosen recipient. Lovehearts Ltd reserves the right to read any of your messages where we receive complaints from the recipient of a message or have reason to believe that you are in breach of our Terms and Conditions or Privacy Policy. In all other cases, these messages remain totally private.
5. Messages you send to customer support.
Messages you send to our customer support team are private between you and our customer support staff and management.
6. Site usage information.
We may collect information on how you use our website for the purposes of improving our services. This includes collecting and storing information relating to what features you use and what pages you visit on our website. This information is used for our own purposes only. Email communication
Email Address - We use your email address to allow us operate our advertised services. The email address provided will only be used by Lovehearts Ltd for notification events, contacting the member ourselves and newsletters. Your registered email address will never be available to message recipients.
Lovehearts Ltd will never ask for your username, email address or password by email.
Sole Responsibility - It is you sole responsibility to protect your password, username and email address and not to disclose this information to any third parties. If you choose to share your password, username and/or email address with any third parties you agree that you are solely responsible for your actions taken with this information.
Internal Email System
Messages using our internal email system are not able read by any other members other than the sender and receiver. Once a message is sent it is not possible to retract it. From time to time Lovehearts Ltd staff may be required to view messages, however they will always remain private and confidential, the only time these messages will be disclosed to any other party is if the member is involved in legal proceedings and either Lovehearts Ltd are satisfied that the legal action is justified, or the disclosure is a legal requirement.
Data Collection
IP Address - We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer our Web site.
Cookies - Cookies are used on most major websites. They are small pieces of information that are stored in a browser-related file on your computer’s hard drive when you use our site. Our site uses cookies for logins and for keeping options specific to a browser.

Restricted Use -This site is restricted to Adults aged 18 or higher, as such any children using the site will be removed and their ISP notified of the abuse.
